How to Check Austin Warrants
Austin publishes no official warrant list and staffs no warrant-only phone line. A practical Austin warrant records search therefore combines three things: the public docket, Austin District Court, and confirmation from law enforcement. Before you call, gather the full legal name with spelling variants, date of birth, the citation or case number, and a rough idea of when the court date was missed. A citation number beats a common name every time.
- Search Search ARCourts. Choose Cases for a case or citation number, or Participants for a name.
- Set Lonoke as the county and Austin as the court location when those filters appear. Read docket events, not just the case label.
- Call Austin District Court at (501) 941-2648. Ask whether the warrant is active, served, or recalled.
- For service questions, call Austin Police. For county custody or surrender details, call the sheriff at (501) 676-3001.
- Ask the issuing clerk what action is allowed before paying, posting bond, appearing, or arranging counsel.
Search ARCourts can miss a new, sealed, restricted, or department-specific entry. A blank screen proves nothing about Austin warrants, so clerk confirmation closes the gap.
Austin Police and Warrant Court
Austin District Court sits in the Thirtieth State District rather than running its own municipal warrant system. Arkansas district courts absorbed the work once tied to municipal courts. Traffic, ordinance, misdemeanor, preliminary felony, FTA, and nonpayment cases in Austin all begin there.
Austin District Court
3181 AR-367, Austin, AR 72007
Ask about the case, date, amount due, plan, and warrant status.
Austin Police Department
3181 Highway 367 North, Austin, AR 72007
Ask about police service, not judicial recall.
Chief Glen Cook is named on the current city page. Officials change, so identify the office and case when you ask for Austin warrant records.
Austin Warrant Citation Payment Route
Austin's police page sends citation payments to Arkansas Online Court Payment, and Austin District Court also appears on the scheduled-plan court list. Both services work once the court has approved payment. Neither is an Austin warrant lookup. The payment-plan search asks for the court, first and last name, and either a plan number or an identification number with date of birth. Select Austin and compare the result against your citation. One warning from the state page deserves attention: failure to pay or notify the court may bring a failure-to-pay warrant, license suspension, and added costs.
Payment is not recall. Paying does not prove an Austin FTA warrant was withdrawn or that police received the update.
After paying, ask the Austin clerk to confirm the warrant's status. Keep the receipt, case number, and date of any confirmed recall.
Types of Austin Warrants
The trigger and the court matter more than the label. Austin District Court issues warrants in city traffic, ordinance, and misdemeanor matters. A felony arrest warrant belongs to Circuit Court even when Austin officers investigated or served it. Search warrants may stay sealed during an inquiry.
| Warrant type | How it arises | Office to confirm |
|---|---|---|
| FTA or bench | A required Austin setting was missed | Austin District Court |
| Failure to pay | A fine or plan was not paid as ordered | Austin District Court |
| Traffic or ordinance | A city citation was not resolved | Austin District Court |
| Arrest warrant | A judge found grounds in a criminal case | Issuing district or Circuit Court |
Local records use failure-to-appear warrant, bench warrant, alias bench warrant, and failure-to-pay warrant. Austin does not normally use "capias pro fine" in its public records.
No Austin Warrant Portal Exists
Austin has no warrant database, active list, recall form, or warrant-only number of its own in official city and court sources. That absence shapes how you search. It does not mean Austin warrants are unavailable or inactive. The official routes simply split between public case dockets and the offices that own or serve the order.
- Case search
- A public look at docket events. It is not official legal notice.
- Issuing clerk
- The Austin clerk for a city case, or Circuit Clerk for a circuit case.
- Agency confirmation
- A check with police or sheriff about service, custody, or surrender.
- Recall
- The issuing court's act of withdrawing a warrant.
Use each layer when the stakes are high. If nothing surfaces online, call the clerk named on the Austin citation before assuming the matter is clear.
What an Austin Warrant Record Shows
An Austin match may be a set of docket events rather than a stand-alone card. Line up the court, case number, and person. Then hunt for issued, served, or recalled text. A circuit-style example like 43CR-25-284 shows a Lonoke circuit format only; district and citation numbers differ.
| Case or citation number | The safest key for matching an Austin matter. |
|---|---|
| Person and role | The participant name and case role; confirm identity. |
| Issuing court | Austin District Court or the circuit division. |
| Event and offense | Charge, statute, affidavit, or warrant event text. |
| Bond or amount | Cash, surety, no-bond, fine, or plan data when public. |
| Status event | Issued, served, recalled, or another action. |
An inmate card may list charges, bond, and court date. It is not a full Austin warrant record and checks no one's every open warrant.
Austin Warrant Calls Use County Dispatch
City police are dispatched through the Lonoke County Emergency Communications Center, per Austin materials. The non-emergency dispatch number is (501) 566-1223. Dispatch can route a police matter, but it is not the court clerk and cannot change an Austin warrant record. For routine status, call the court first. Austin Police, at (501) 843-7856, takes city service questions. Use dispatch to reach an officer through the system, and save 911 for emergencies. The split stays simple: clerk for status and recall terms, police or dispatch for service, sheriff for county jail steps. Calling the right office cuts delay and keeps your question tied to the right Austin warrant.
Austin Warrants and Lonoke County
Austin District Court belongs to Northern Lonoke in the Thirtieth State District and keeps the city's traffic, misdemeanor, ordinance, FTA, and nonpayment case records. Felony and circuit matters run through the Twenty-Third Judicial Circuit and the Lonoke County Circuit Clerk. The sheriff serves warrants and manages county custody. Only the issuing court can recall or quash an order.
Warrant flow: Austin District Court or Circuit Court › Austin Police or Lonoke County Sheriff › restricted ACIC/NCIC systems
Arkansas runs no public statewide warrant portal. The state's ACIC/NCIC files stay closed to the public. Start with the Lonoke County warrant records overview for the county route, and stay with Austin District Court unless the citation, docket, or clerk points you to another court.
Resolve an Austin Warrant Carefully
The clerk confirms whether an Austin warrant is truly open. Call first and ask what the judge permits. The answer may be a new date, approved payment or plan, bond, an attorney motion, or a planned surrender. Austin publishes no recall form, set fee, walk-in policy, or same-day promise.
- Write down the court, case number, warrant type, and status.
- Ask whether payment, a setting, bond, motion, or surrender is authorized.
- If custody may occur, speak with counsel and call police or sheriff first.
- After action, ask when the update was entered and sent to law enforcement.
- Keep receipts and orders. Recheck the docket while allowing for delay.
Austin Police charge a $10 fee for an accident or incident report. That is not a warrant-record fee, so do not use it to estimate court copies, recall costs, fines, or bond.
Austin Warrant Police Contact View
The official Austin Police contact page lists the department's address, phone, dispatch arrangement, and where to pay a citation.

No Austin warrant list appears on that page. Use the posted contacts to reach the correct office, then verify the record with the court or agency that holds it.
Public Access to Austin Warrant Records
Austin leaves many court records open to the public, but access has limits. Name the record, the date range, the court, and the case or citation number as closely as you can. Austin has no warrant-specific FOIA form. Send a focused request to the office that holds the file. An active investigation, sealed filing, protected identifier, or juvenile case may stay hidden or redacted.
Key rules:
Arkansas Freedom of Information Act of 1967 generally lets Arkansas citizens seek public records, subject to exemptions.
Arkansas Supreme Court Administrative Order 19 governs court-record access, exclusions, and redaction.
Ark. Code Ann. ยง 9-27-309 restricts juvenile records unless law or a court order allows access.
ACIC/NCIC files stay off limits to FOIA requests. Any public Austin warrant records must come from a lawful public source, and the issuing court or serving agency has to confirm them.
Austin Warrant Search Location Filters
The advanced controls in Search ARCourts narrow an Austin warrant lookup by county and court location. Use them. A broad participant-name search can drag in unrelated cases or records from another department. Start with Lonoke County first. A case or citation number works best. The Austin search also filters by filing-date range, case type, and docket codes. Short names can act as exact searches. Longer entries may allow partial matches and aliases. Read the court name and the participant role first. When an Austin case appears, copy its number and the exact warrant-event wording for the clerk. A blank result does not prove the warrant is gone. Public indexing can lag and restricted entries stay hidden, so the call to Austin District Court still matters.
